Kevin James’ Imagination Unlimited: Kevin James is an excellent Magician with a great brain that comes up with some weird and wacky effects. Visit his site, where you can browse his catalogue and check out his excellent new message board.

Resignation as an Adult: Someone printed this and stuck it next to our photocopier at work, I like it, it pretty much sums up how people feel around here sometimes! I quite like being an adult though, much prefer it to childhood, (or what I can remember of it), but sometimes, just sometimes I could hand in my notice…

Welcome to Kem Plastic Playing Cards: Cellulose acetate playing cards which are 100% plastic. Which according to the site means they are long lasting, odorless and washable, resist scuffing and breaking, are clean and crisp, are fresh and flexible, are the least expensive on a per-play basis. Hmm wonder how they handle for Magic though?

Linux Journal: More Linux reading for me Need to get hold of a copy of the newest LinuxFormat magazine to try and upgrade to Mandrake 7.2… that should be fun!

Linux-Mandrake: Finally made the hopefully permanent switch to Linux, still gotta find some utils to replace my Windoze ones, but so far so good, I think its going to be a bit of a learning curve though from being led by the hand with Windies to having to learn Linux! So expect a few blogs along the way! Currently reading Linux Documentation Project and Linux Format Magazine.

Peter Duffie’s Alternative Magic: Peter Duffie’s New Magic Site, has lots of free card tricks, watch out for his Select Secrets page which will eventually feature tricks, ideas and partial concepts from Peter and others also manuscripts that you can download free of charge.

Big THANKS to TaraStar for helping me get my comments working on the Archive pages as well as the main page. Also can anyone reading please sign the GuestBook so that I know your out there! Its an excellent PHP guestbook by the guy over at 4CM. He also has some other good PHP scripts and tutorials that are worth a look. Next on my to-do is a bit of a cosmetic change to the site, probably pre-load the graphics (that’ll please you Peter!) and make a PHP include-template so I only have to change one file when I change the layout. Then watch out for an Article Manager, which means I will be able to do an In My Mailbox feature and also write any longer thoughts in there for you to comment on. Then lastly I will be implementing a FFA links page, and some Status Text… phew!

TrickMaster Site: Blatant rip-off site, at least I suppose he password protected it! But once inside there are quite a few secrets exposed, why do people feel the need to do this, probably some little kid who has just learnt HTML and has probably only just started in Magic and trawls alt.magic.secrets looking for stuff. When will they learn that this only harms magic, and gives it a bad name. Personally I think the web is a GREAT tool for Magic, as we can discuss the art with Magicians from all over the world almost instantly, but this power has got to be respected… I guess you are always going to get the people that abuse this though. The only real way that you could put an end to this is for the dealers to stop selling Magic to every man and his dog. At present you don’t need any form of identification to buy Magic over the Web, what we need is some recognised code that you are a practicing Magician. This will never happen however as most of the dealers are only interested in selling to the Hobby Magician who always wants the latest stuff (me included some times!) and has the money but maybe not the Magical Knowledge or Respect for the secret and power that they are buying into. Anyway thats my rant over, I only Blogged this site so I could have a good rant, and to show you how appalling it is! (link courtesy of Ben Harris).

Just read the sad, sad news about Bro. John Hamman passing away, its quite strange because this lunch time I was reading Aaron Smith’s ‘Methodical’ and in particular studying his version of Bro. John’s ‘Signed Card’. Then I come back and read the news I am going to track down a copy of ‘The Secrets of Brother John Hamman’. This is another sad passing for the world of Magic, RIP Brother John.

The Magic Zone: In the Authors own words - This site was made for magician

James Randi Educational Foundation homepage: an educational resource on the paranormal, pseudoscientific and the supernatural.

Mephisto the Master: FireEating and Manipulation. Including FAQs, Links, tips and some impressive photos.

SQL Tutorial: Need to brush up on your SQL? As I’m starting the journey into learning PHP I thought I might as well…

squiggle.gen.nz - comments system: Post to test the new comments system, please try it out and let me know what you think, also go back and comment on some older posts!

Ok I’ve finally gotten round to fixing viewing the site in 800600. It should no longer scroll horizontally, which I know is a big no-no! I still prefer 1024768 though But at least now you get to see the full right side of the site… so now I can concentrate on some PHP stuff, expect to see an experimental comments system here in the next few days!

Bridge Basics: I guess as a card magician, I have an interest in card games as well, I want to learn to play both Poker and Bridge, so this is an online guide to learning Bridge!

Ideavirus: An interesting full e-book about a marketing idea called IdeaVirus, although the sceptical amongst us may say that the very idea of releasing the e-book free of charge, is an interesting use of the authors concept!

freedom 2 surf: I have changed servers and am now hosting this blog at F2S. Basically because they give you free PHP with no banners etc. I want to learn PHP4 and just bought a huge book from Amazon by Wrox called ‘Beginning PHP4’ so we will see how that goes! Also now I have PHP you can expect a comments system soon, an Articles and Writings section, a new really good looking Guestbook, a links manager and a status list. But for now I just want to check that this is stable and all the code has changed as it should.

www.DavidAcer.com: David finally has his own website. What can I say about this guy, at the minute he is one of my top three favourite Magicians, just his style and comedy and timing are brilliant! I saw him at Blackpool this year along with Jay Sankey and it made the convention. You can order his magic from this site and even hear some audio and watch video clips and read about the comedic angle of this Canadian Genius!

Todd Lassen’s Coin Gaffs: Todd makes some of the best coins in magic, quite a slow loading page though with lots of pictures.
