Referer Google Search: fetishists lincolnshire: LOL I don’t know who came here searching for this, but incredibly if you do a search for fetishists lincolnshire on Google I am top of the list I have to admit that it points to this archive May 2001 Archive Page that contains a reference to Spindoc and a magical lecture I went to see at the South Lincolnshire society!

Especially worthy of note is his article on Jerry Camaro, I just read the re-print in Genii and it is a well written ulogy to Jerry. Also the page contains some photos from the P&T Street Magic documentary that was on UK TV just recently, an excellent three part documentary that is well worth seeing.

An excellent documentary about how English Magician Jasper Maskelyne helped in WW2, he setup an experimental camouflage team and using his magical knowledge ultimatley helped the allies gain victory in North Africa. I won’t spoil it all but I thought the best bit was his use of Black Art principles to help hide the Suez Canal! Get to see this if you can. Also Hollywood have plans to make a big movie from this story, and in a bizzare casting decision Tom Cruise will be playing the part of Maskelyne.
The Art of the Solo Performer: Free book download, it weighs in at a hefty 6mb, and is essentially about a guitarist but I think it contains some lessons for all performers.

Well to cheer me up I checked out Blackpool Magicians’ Club and their new website and it gives tentative details about their 50th convention to be held 22-24th Feb 2002. All I can say is if the programme holds half of what they are saying then this will be a convention you do NOT want to miss! Check out the names, Juan Tamariz, Lennart Green, Jay Sankey, David Williamson, Simo Aalto, Bob Sheets, Michael Ammar, Jeff McBride (subject to Las Vegas Contract), Peter Marvey (doing his flying!), Jim Cellini, Joe Pasquale, Juliana Chen etc. What a line up! Plus if you pre-register with a Gold Card you get a free ‘Blackpool Bafflers’ book featuring routines and a look back on the last 49 conventions. All I can say is where do I sign-up, I will be there, and this time Andi I won’t be going to bed so you have been warned
Its been a depressing few weeks for the Magic Community, first Jerry Camero, then Olde Rabbit from MagicTalk, then Mike Rogers and Ben Stone and to cap it all off with the biggest shock for me, earlier this week a member of our Hull Magicians’ Circle, Roger Strachan. I just can’t believe I was talking to him not 5 days earlier at our AGM… There must be a heck of a magic session going on up there, rest in peace you guys.
fork-you.com: Not quite the type of metal bending us magicians are used to, but some interesting sculptures all the same!
